SCOTT LASSAM

Scott Lassman

Director SRL Heavy Mechanical Services

Scott’s 29 years old and lives in Newcastle, where he moved in 2011.

He’s been working on plant and equipment for around 13 years. After completing his apprenticeship working on buses, and spending time working with Walter Wright Cranes and Simon Taylor Plant Repairs, Scott started SRL Heavy Mechanical Services five years ago.

“I love running my own business,” says Scott.

SRL is a repair and maintenance service for plant, trucks and equipment. Some of his major contracts include Ausgrid, Mackex and Orange Hire.

Recently, SRL has started providing hire services for clients. The business currently owns a Terex PT30 Skid Steer, a Kobelco SK135 Excavator and an upright rammer, the latter of which he purchased from Conplant.

“When the Conplant representative initially met with me, it was obvious he is very knowledgeable when it comes to compaction and hire” says Scott.

“We looked at what would get my business the best return on investment and he offered to demonstrate a machine to me.  The maneuverability while transporting and working was far superior than the other machines I’ve worked on, and the quality was second to none”.

“I would highly recommend Conplant to anyone looking at compaction equipment.”

Outside of work, Scott enjoys riding dirt bikes, 4WDing, boating and fishing—and he loves a beer or two as well… Who can blame him?

Good on you Scott, and it’s a pleasure doing business with you. All the best to you and SRL Heavy Mechanical Services. We wish you plenty of growth and look forward to working with you well into the future.
