We are seeking a motivated and committed Plant Mechanic to join our thriving workshops
  • Gold Coast – Yatala 

Qualified Plant Mechanic

As we look at our growth for 2027, we are seeking a motivated and committed Plant Mechanic to join our thriving Gold Coast workshop.

The role:

  • Undertake fault diagnosis and repair (mechanical, electrical, air conditioning and hydraulics) in a time-sensitive operational environment in Conplant’s workshop.
  • You’ll be joining a small but highly skilled workshop team, supported by managers who are invested in the growth of your technical expertise.

As Plant Mechanic, you will work across compaction rollers, mini excavators and site dumpers, undertaking fault diagnostics, repairs and maintenance of our hire fleet. You’ll also have the opportunity to work on new build plant equipment. As a proactive team member, you will action all associated follow-up activities and paperwork to ensure the proactive and safe maintenance of Conplant’s hire fleet.

You will bring:

  • Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology
  • At least 12 months’ experience working on heavy construction equipment and a current driving licence would be desirable.
  • Practical experience of and a willingness to follow well-established workplace health and safety procedures.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively whilst managing multiple priorities.
  • Current driving licence. Medium Rigid licence desirable.
  • Licences to operate plant and equipment, e.g. forklift, would be desirable as would Construction Induction card.

We are seeking a motivated and committed Field Service Technician to join our thriving workshops
  • Gold Coast – Yatala 

Field Service Technician

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day operation of the business, ensuring that we continue to meet and exceed customer expectation.

The role:

  • Undertake fault diagnosis and repair (mechanical, electrical, air conditioning and hydraulics) in a time sensitive customer facing, operational environment on customer sites and in Conplant’s workshop.
  • Provide a range of technical advice to customers (face to face and by telephone) to assist in the effective minimisation of unscheduled call outs and where necessary co-ordinate planned and ad hoc external resource allocation to minimise downtime, maintain operational capability and contribute to the maintenance of Conplant’s hire revenue stream.

 

You will bring:

  • Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology and ideally a Certificate II in Automotive Air Conditioning Technology.
  • At least 5 years’ experience working on heavy construction equipment, with ideally at least three years’ experience in a Field Service role.
  • Current driving licence and ideally a Medium Rigid licence is required. Medium Rigid licence must be held at the time of application.
  • General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
  • Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively whilst managing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Computer literacy is required for use of Microsoft Office and in-house software systems.

We are seeking a motivated and committed Truck Driver (Heavy Combination) to join our thriving workshops

Truck Driver (Heavy Combination)

About the role

Conplant Pty Ltd is the largest privately owned specialist compaction and construction equipment company in Australia. Our core business includes the hire and sale of compaction and construction equipment with associated servicing and the supply of parts and transport services. We are seeking an experienced Heavy Combination (HC) Truck Driver to join our Gold Coast based team.

Key responsibilities

  • Transport a range of plant and equipment as directed to ensure the safe, efficient and effective provision of transport services to internal and external customers, following all appropriate internal safety policies, procedures and workplace health and safety legislation.
  • Maintain the truck and trailer upholding clean appearance and periodic minor maintenance.
  • Retain appropriate driving records in line with legal requirements.

About you

  • Heavy Combination (HC) Licence required.
  • Experience of at least 5 years HC driving.
  • Experienced in loading/unloading all types of heavy earthmoving equipment.
  • Practical experience of workplace health and safety legislation and a White Card holder.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with a flexible ‘can-do’ attitude and a willingness and ability to work as part of a small team.
  • An organised, methodical approach with the ability to follow well-established safety procedures is essential.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Must be willing and able to undertake early/late finishes and occasional overnight and weekend stays away from home as required.
  • Ability to utilise bespoke company IT system on an Android tablet.
