Having worked in the machinery industry previously, Guy started life in Conplant as a Customer Service Manager on the road around the Brisbane metro area, North Queensland and far Western Queensland, after a former manager encouraged him to give it a go. After 7 years, Guy was elevated to Manager of the QLD & NNSW regions before moving into the national role he currently holds.
During his time at Conplant, Guy’s roles have been pretty varied, depending on what’s happening at the time – any combination of customer visits, operations meetings, business development, managing the sales team and some strategic planning for the future as well can all happen on any given day.
14 years ago, what drove you to work for Conplant?
“I’d worked in the machinery industry previously – one of my previous managers had come over to Conplant and suggested I give it a go. I didn’t know a lot about rollers back then, it was something new for me – although I really liked the sales side, so I wanted to continue that.
“For me, working in a family-owned company really attracted me. Conplant is also well-respected in the industry. It’s great to be associated with a reputable brand and reputable people, creating a number of revolutionary innovations to the industry. I’m lucky to be a part of it all.”
